My name is Brianna and I do believe I obtain these traits. Commitment is a trait we all develop with friendships, relationships, family, etc. When becoming a teacher I think you are commiting yourself to your students, work, and most importantly serving your students personally. You want to truly give your all to your students and classroom. How do I apply commitment to my life today? I am a wife, a daughter, a sister, a granddaughter, a friend, and a best friend. The most exciting role I am ready to take on is a teacher, showing true commitment to your students will give them true desire to want to be in your class. How can we show students we care? I do not have a class or students yet but I do however have two little sisters that I love and care for like my own. Caring is something that you not only show but prove. Being for your students during the easy times, the hard times, the best times, etc. That being said, the hard times are when you need to be the most brave for your students. Your students run off of your energy. When we are up our students are up, they feel what we feel. When they are going through tough times it is important to remind them that we are with them, and we understand them. Being courageous for our students and for ourselves is most important to let them know we are here for them. What does it look like to be conscious? To be aware, alert. To fully be engaged in our room, it is important to have fully awareness of your surroundings not only for your sake but for your students safety. Overall being centered is the most important of all the C’s to me. Being centered is highly important because living a balanced lifestyle as a teacher. Being grounded emotionally, physically, mentally, overall being grounded. The 5 C’s are important traits that a teacher should have and can develop in their career.
